NavTactiq currently provides compass heading and a start timer which are legal in all sailboat racing classes, any updates that contain items not class legal in any class, we'll make sure they are optional and can be disabled for racing. We are one design sailors so it's important to us that you can use our app for one design racing
Yes—NavTactiq uses your device sensors and does not require an internet connection or cell phone connection on the water, it will work on the latest iphones which have the best screens and are fully waterproof and you can also use an old iphone as long as it's able to run iOS 15 or better. An internet connection is only required to download the app or install updates.
