My heading seems inaccurate or stuck. What should I do?

If you notice the compass heading isn't accurate, it's often due to your iPhone's sensors needing to restart. To solve this restart your iPhone completely.

My phone is locked in landscape mode, can I change it?

Landscape mode allows us to make the compass work on a boat, because boats heel, yaw and pitch constantly. When the app can rotate based on the screen orientation, it can flip when your boat heels and that is no good. So we've purposefully locked the app in landscape mode to give you a clear display without switching the orientation or getting confused. Future updates may include the option to use portrait mode, if that's something you're interested in feel free to let us know.

Is NavTactiq draining my battery?

NavTactiq uses your device's sensors continuously while active, which does consume a small amount of battery. We recommend fully charging before using and closing other apps while using NavTactiq to maximize battery life. For extended use, we recommend using an Anker brand battery bank, these can extend use for long cruising trips beyond. The phone can be charged while using NavTactiq.
